25 watershed walks funded by Salt Lake County

The Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, & Parks program funds 25 watershed walks in Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, and West Valley City through the Seven Creeks | Walk Series. Programming identifies creative solutions to address watershed issues along our waterways.

 

With a $4,200 Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, & Parks program grant, 25 watershed walks will engage students and residents in the west-side neighborhoods of Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, and West Valley City through the Seven Creeks | Walk Series.

Students gain valuable experience from local experts about watershed issues. Programming identifies creative solutions to address watershed issues along our waterways. Youth are exposed to professional mentors, community organizations, and creative exploration of their urban ecosystem. Through this program, students will be introduced to the wonders of nature in their backyard, increasing the understanding of the relationship between urban development and the watershed.
