🐟Ready to make a difference? This outdoor session is all about action! We'll roll up our sleeves for a creek cleanup, remove invasive species, and plant native vegetation to restore riparian habitat. You'll also try out the MyWatershed App to record observations and learn how data collection helps protect our waterways.

Salt Lake Valley’s residents – both people and wildlife – are enriched through creeks, which are often hidden from us. Beautiful waterways provide access to nature and grow our local economies for everyone, allowing us all to prosper.

Indie Pitch Competition: Symphonies of the Seven Creeks

Indie Pitch is a new philanthropic giving event that celebrates bold, out-of-the-box solutions. At the event, seven organizations will present their ideas for new or expanded programs to a live audience of engaged community members.

In a twist on traditional grantmaking, funding decisions will be determined through a ranked-choice community vote, conducted in real time during the event.

Seven Canyons Trust will pitch Symphonies of the Seven Creeks — a genre-spanning musical project that converts bio-data from native riparian plants into sound, creating an emotional connection between listeners and the Salt Lake Valley’s buried and impaired waterways.

Come hear the pitches and help decide which ideas get funded! RSVP is free but space is limited.

Volunteer Beautification at Folsom Trail

Join us in caring for the Folsom Trail, in collaboration with the Department of Public Lands, along the 1000 West and 900 West block. This trail is the site of a future Seven Canyons Trust creek daylighting project, and your efforts will help prepare the space for restoration. Together, we will remove invasive weeds and pick up trash to improve the health, safety, and beauty of this important community corridor.

All tools and supplies will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, wear sturdy closed-toed shoes, and dress in weather-appropriate clothing. Your time and energy will make a meaningful impact as we work toward restoring our valley’s hidden streams and creating safe, vibrant greenways for everyone.
