Authored by Brian Tonetti

A grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation to fund the My Canyon Creeks websites. It will expand the scope to a watershed-scale for users of the popular My Jordan River to Salt Lake County, UT.

We are excited to announce a $5,000 grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation. Funds will expand the scope of the popular My Jordan River to the seven canyon creeks. Users can submit educational interpretative stops to enhance water quality, visibility, and community stewardship. Additionally, users can utilize “Report an Issue” to report watershed and water quality concerns, such as erosion, water pollution, graffiti, and trash.

Seven new creek websites, MyCityCreek.org, MyRedButteCreek.org, MyEmigrationCreek.org, MyParleysCreek.org, MyMillCreek.org, MyBigCottonwoodCreek.org, and MyLittleCottonwoodCreek.org, contain interactive maps to delineate where waterways flow, areas of public access, restoration sites, and details of recreational activities.
