The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation is providing grant funding for the first full-time, paid staff member. This will bolster the organization to achieve its century-long vision.

We are excited to announce a $5,000 grant from The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation to fund the Seven Canyons Trust’s first full-time, paid staff member, Executive Director Brian Tonetti. Since graduating from the University of Utah in 2014, Brian has donated his time to propel the organization. His tireless work has led to the soon-to-be-realized Three Creeks Confluence.

A full-time director will further our century-long vision to uncover and restore the buried and impaired creeks in the Salt Lake Valley. These natural waterways will reduce flooding, help fill depleted aquifers, and restore riparian habitat. Stream-side pathways will invite families to walk, bike, and, one day, even allow residents on the city’s Westside to make their way from the Jordan River all the way to the mouths of the seven canyons. Beautiful green spaces will enhance the development of neighborhoods and create new commercial opportunities.
