$7,500 from David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation for Seven Creeks | Walk Series

Authored by Brian Tonetti

A grant to fund watershed walks along our creeks with youth and families throughout Salt Lake County. Programming will build stewardship to protect our natural spaces, public health, and environmental justice.

We are excited to announce $7,500 in grant funding from the David Kelby Johnson Memorial Foundation. We will host 25 watershed walks with students and residents in Salt Lake County, through our Seven Creeks | Walk Series. Walks will get youth and families outdoors in a healthy, educational activity. Meaningful, on-the-ground restoration work, including noxious weed removal, riparian habitat plantings, and trash clean-ups, will ingrain concepts. Programming will lay the foundation for participants to become community leaders to protect our natural spaces, public health, and environmental justice.
